Detroit Rental Cars
Detroit isn't known as The
Motor City simply because it is the automotive manufacturing capital of the
world. The city does not have a
comprehensive public transportation system, and getting around requires a
car. Even downtown living is difficult
without one. The People Mover services
a limited area, and taxis are not as plentiful and accessible as in other
major cities. A car is a must during
your visit in order to see many metro Detroit area sights and attractions.
The good news is that metro
Detroit has an extensive set of freeways and major boulevards to get you just
about anywhere. And parking is easy to
find in most places. As with any new
city you are visiting, just take along a good map and get in the car and go!
